Miss Madley had a funeral home
Where for 49 years
She had suited and booted and boxed up..
Strangers and peers

Until one morning unexpectedly
Came to her an entire dance company

She dolled up the dead as directed
Each one was a dance caricature
She worked all day until nightfall
Then she left and she bolted the door

She was awakened in the dead of the night
By a ruckus and a rhythm
Strange flickering light...
